Walker Wayland NSW running the City2Surf for the Lyceum Group Foundation

Sydney will host the annual City to Surf fun run on 13 August 2017 with the participants raising millions of dollars for a varieties of charities.

Walker Wayland NSW will again be entering a team and have 20 eager participants ready to raise money for our selected charity. This year we are participating - running and walking - in support of The Lyceum Group Foundation, a charity that provides medical equipment to children with disabilities. We are delighted to have the opportunity to support such a worthwhile charity to provide vital support to the children and their families, many of whom are doing it tough.

As the foundation points out:

“Almost 20% of Australians - some 3.6 million people have a disability. This proportion is increasing particularly as the population ages...19.8% of all males and 20.1% of all females report having a disability”

We encourage you to visit the foundation's website at The Lyceum Group Foundation to find out more about the terrific support they provide.

Walker Wayland NSW prides itself on participation and generosity. These differently abled children deserve the opportunity to reach their full potential and we are thrilled to have this opportunity to help them do so. We aim to raise at least $3,000 in support of this terrific organisation and help them provide much needed support to kids and their families. By raising awareness and much needed funds through our donation website we aim to assist the foundation provide the kids with medical equipment so they can enjoy the small things that we take for granted every day.

We encourage you to please donate using the link on our Homepage at Walker Wayland NSW Donate. We hope to see you at the race.
